There are two ways to approach an apocalypse, try your hardest to save the world or just live with it. The ‘Roaming the Apocalypse With My Shiba Inu’ manga wisely chooses the latter option.
Featuring a tsundere teenager girl and a talking dog who is too wise for its own good, the quirky series narrates their survival story in a post-apocalyptic world.
‘Roaming the Apocalypse With My Shiba Inu’ by Yuu Ishihara, will receive animated manga on YouTube in the summer of 2022.
Both the announcement visuals show the sole survivor of the apocalypse, a high school girl, and her pet dog, Haru. Despite what you might think of this cute dog, Haru is actually the intellectual between the two. His lectures bore his master, and his deep thoughts are bound to give you an existential crisis.
In case you don’t know what an animated manga is, it is manga panels but with voice actors saying the dialogs out loud to make it seem more lively.
I know this might have already dampened your spirits because it is not an actual anime, but who knows, maybe the next project will animate the series for real?
For now, though, you can enjoy the adventures of Haru and its master on YouTube soon. You can even expect some aliens. Because after humankind got wiped, aliens started treating Earth like a backward village where they could have a peaceful life. Talk about creative real estate opportunities.
