The Legend of Oden Kozuki

Kozuki Oden is one the most interesting and impressive characters in the whole series. Now let’s look at his abilities and achievements: Oden had the ability to hear the Voice of All Things. Oden had knowledge and skills to read Poneglyphs and write its ancient language. Oden possessed Conqueror’s Haki. Him being the only man to ever master his sword, Enma, suggests that Oden also had great skill in Armament Haki. Oden became a daimyo of Kuri at a young age of 20.

Oden was loved and adored by Wano Country. And he still has such loyal retainers. Roger was captivated by him. Shanks and Buggy held incredible respect for him. As a member of Roger Pirates, he was a well respected individual among his crew. He referred Shanks and Buggy as the respective first and second sons, though the latter was annoyed for being called one. All the crew wanted to help Oden’s wish to make Wano Country an open to the world though Oden declined as he wanted to solve the problem on his own. Oden was also a division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Whitebeard was charmed. Finally, Oden is the only person who scarred and wounded Kaido. Oden is a legend. I can’t wait to know more about him!

The Leak: From Zou to Wano

INTRODUCTION
I did write a "theory" regarding whom I thought the leak was which I classed as PURELY SPECULATIVE even in the title. Reason being I had no concrete evidence in some of my conclusions. However, there are some things that we can factually identify and I think it's using that as context that will make this a lot easier.

With that said, I'm somewhat discarding the person I suspected as a leak in my theory as the evidence wasn't very substantial, it was for the most part open to interpretation, but here I am writing another piece of speculation which I think would be better than the last.

I will highlight what is Speculative and what I deem Fact in sub-headings. Without much more rambling... on to my main point.

FACT: ORIGIN OF THE LEAK
Carrot as well as other Minks have been subjected to being called a traitor for whatever reason. I'm not going to claim she is/they are at this point. I will however lay down some OBJECTIVE FACTS regarding how the Beast Pirates knew Raizo was at Zou.

First thing that needs to be understood is that Oda in essence tells us HOW they got to Zou. We're told by Inuarashi that they must have had a Vivre card ⁸²⁴. It's the one hint Oda gives us, therefore, it's implied he's telling us we should go with Vivre cards are how they got there.

Second thing that needs be understood is how do vivre cards work. It's a piece of paper created with Toe Nail clippings. This paper once created can be torn.

The torn pieces are attracted towards each other, but it doesn't tell one how far the papers are from the other ⁴⁸⁹.
The other thing is it indicates one's life-force by reducing in size ⁴⁸⁹; it also changes in size meaning if someone dies, the Vivre-card will disappear ⁵⁷⁴.

What does this mean exactly regarding Jack arriving at Zou? For example, Luffy's vivre card in Wano was found by Sanji, it however didn't tell them where exactly he was, but they at least knew he was alive ⁹²⁰. They had to contact Kinemon in order to know where exactly Luffy was located.

The other thing that needs be reinforced is Vivre-cards disappear when life has dissipated and remains if someone is alive.

HOW DOES ONE GET TO ZOU
Law had a vivre-card of Bepo in order to get to Zou ⁸⁰⁵; he gave one to Nami ⁷⁰¹; he gave one to Nami because it's impossible to get to Zou since it isn't an Island with a magnetic field, but a moving Elephant ⁸⁰². It means one can't just get to Zou because they know Zou exists, one can only get there if they have a vivre card of someone at Zou.

The exception would be being Mink whom are able to home in on Zou seemingly. Bepo had been away from Zou most of his life, yet he found his way there which implies they must have some unique homing ability.

WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW

Most people don't know this, but I will explain how it relates to Zou. When the Swirly Pirates went to Zou, the Big Mom Pirates followed them. How? Are one of the Strawhat Pirates secretly spies, leaks or traitors working for Big Mom? I think we can logically conclude they're not given all the sacrifices they've made for each other.

How then did Big Mom Pirates know Swirly Pirates were heading to Zou? Simply, they heard them shouting that they were heading for Zou... go figure ⁸¹¹. There was no traitor amongst the Strawhat Pirates.

Most people aren't aware that when Kinemon and co. arrived from the past, whilst being chased by BEAST PIRATES, they shouted to meet at Zou ⁹²⁰. There wasn't necessarily a traitor amongst the Minks. The Beast Pirates simply like the Big Mom Pirates... heard the information.

However, as we've established from Law, just knowing about Zou doesn't let you know how to get to Zou. You need someone at Zou whose vivre card is at hand, otherwise, it's impossible to get to Zou, thus, Inuarashi's conclusion.

As shown here:

A traitor isn't necessary for someone to have come to Zou.

WHAT DOES ALL THE EVIDENCE TELL US

We know how vivre cards work.
We know they must have heard the location being passed across, thus Jack arriving at Zou.
We know there isn't necessarily a traitor.

What we now need to do is use the current information we have to understand the most likely scenario that led to this event.

Another bit of information we need to realise here is that Raizo arrived at Zou. We can only assume that Raizo also had a Vivre card of someone at Zou just like Jack did.

CONDITIONS REQUIRED TO GET TO ZOU
For a vivre card to lead to Zou:

The person must be at Zou.
    The person must be alive.
The person must be in possession of a vivre card while at zou.
Most importantly, the person whose vivre card has been acquired MUST have been outside of Zou at least once, or it's impossible to get their vivre card to begin with.
They also MUST have run in with the Beast Pirates.

Who are the people that have been outside of Zou though?

Inuarashi was present at Wano when Kaido killed Oden (therefore been outside of Zou at least once confirmed), he ran into Beast Pirates (encounter confirmed).
Nekomamushi was present at Wano when Kaido killed Oden (therefore been outside of Zou at least once confirmed), he ran into Beast Pirates (encounter confirmed)
Pedro was a Pirate who went to WCI (therefore been outside of Zou at least once confirmed), but no evidence he ran into any other Pirates other than the Big Mom Pirates or Evidence he went to Wano (encounter unconfirmed).

The only Minks whose vivre cards could have been acquired are Inuarashi's or Nekomamushi's. Carrot and most Minks have not been outside of Zou, so it'd be impossible to have acquired their vivre cards, much more be considered traitors.

HOW DID THEIR VIVRE CARDS GET ACQUIRED

Through Kinemon's account of what happened when Oden got killed, he tells us Inuarashi and Nekomamushi got involved with the enemy whilst squabbling ⁹²⁰. In fact, Kinemon talks about this back in Zou, or at least... references it ⁸¹⁷.

One thing I'd like to point out is we don't know if vivre cards disappear if one is transported into the future or if they become regarded as dead according to the vivre card. Therefore, I'd go with what is known and assume the Beast Pirates acquired vivre cards of one of the 9 sheathes that were known to be alive at Zou (Nekomamushi and Inuarashi).

I'd guess Oden had vivre cards of his subordinates who sailed with him on both Whitebeard's and Roger's ship, thus when Oden was killed, the Beast Pirates likely acquired it. As soon as they heard Raizo was heading to Zou, they took these vivre cards of either Minks to Zou and stayed there unwavering in their conviction of Raizo's presence.

Another thing that should be taken note of here is the Minks said they planned with Kinemon and co. to meet up at Zou ⁸¹⁷. One of the Minks must have given a piece of their vivre card to Raizo.

While to me this definitely and evidentially proves there was no leak with sound reasoning and evidence, just the idea that the Minks could be traitors after almost dying is mind-boggling. Even without this, it's simply difficult to believe the Minks could be traitors.

The question now is who is the leak in Wano? I think based on this, I can confidently rule out the Minks.

THE LEAK AT WANO: Pick Your Hints Objectively
A bunch of the scabbards have been blamed for being leaks/traitors. The question that has to be asked is.... where's the evidence?

We sometimes mistaken hints and evidence. A hint is the entertainment of something possibly being evidence, and it may not be. Many theories that are wrong tend to be based on hints. It's subjective.

That's not to say a hint can't be evidence, a hint simply has to be consistent with the objective facts in order to be tenured.

Hints are also obscure, so they're hard claim as concrete evidence. For example:

Kinemon couldn't find Inuarashi when he wanted to report a leak having been found ⁹³⁸. Does that make Inuarashi the leak? No, why not? It's not substantial evidence of anything other than he wasn't found at that point in time.

It could be a hint and it may not be. When do we consider it a hint? If there's consecutive or inumerable displays of odd behaviour, then we could entertain it as a hint.

It's very difficult to call anything a hint; the only time something can be called a hint is after the fact. Hints are so obscure they can hardly be called evidence to prove anything.

The only time hints (which are subjective) can be really trusted is if there is a consistent showing of similar behaviours or patterns.

My last theory, I said speculatively, the culprit was Jibuemon simply the fact that:

He appeared to Kinemon with 2 men ⁹²⁰, and when the leak occurred, he wasn't present in Rasetsu prison whereas the 2 other men were ⁹³⁹.

Like I said in my theory, purely speculative. Maybe they just haven't seen him. It's not necessarily a case of Jibuemon being guilty.

Could it be a hint? Possibly, but in the end, if it turns out the leak was someone else, then it wasn't a hint at all.

We have to pick our hints carefully and objectively in context with previous information that's interpreted properly and makes sense.

ANALYSIS OF THE LEAK: WHO FITS THE BILL
We need to establish who could be the leak. Just like if 3 people were in a room and there's a missing item, we know 1 of these 3 people at the very least is the culprit.

In this scenario, we have to establish who the leak or traitor could be.

The important thing to understand is how did Kinemon develop his plan, and from that, we're able to find the flaws in the plan. This panel shows how the plan was formulated:

First, we must understand that Kinemon and co. appear 20 years from the past into the future.
They have lost all orientation of Wano.
They see the changes that have taken place.
    They get approached by Jibuemon.
Jibuemon indicates that all allies of the Kozuki who were ready to fight 20 years ago got marked with ankle tattoos in the shape of crescents.

What we need to have in mind is Kinemon NEVER knew about the crescent ankle meaning most people do not know about it. These ankles didn't become a thing until the Kozuki clan were supposedly wiped out. For 20 years, people have been walking around Wano with these tattoos.

What does this mean? It means Orochi and the entirety of Wano probably never knew anything about these tattoos or its significance. THIS is why Kinemon decided to make leaflet puzzles with this crescent tattoo.

No one could know what it meant unless:

They had the tattoo meaning they knew what the tattoo symbolised.
Or were informed about the tattoo e.g. people like Kinemon without the tattoo who were informed of its symbolism such as the alliance outside of those wearing the crescent; in other words, anyone in the alliance.

Another thing to take into consideration is, yes, we're all the way at chapter 958, but the leak took effect in chapter 936 ⁹³⁶. Why is the chapter important? because it tells us when the leak occurred, therefore, anyone relevant in the story around this time is a suspect.

The culprits constrained to this period would be:

Samurai with Tattoos like Jibuemon (KNEW THE SYMBOLISM, DIDN'T NEED TO BE INFORMED)
    Kinemon (informed on symbolism)
    Kanjuro (informed on symbolism)
    Raizo (informed on symbolism)
    Kiku (informed on symbolism)
    Momonosuke (informed on symbolism)
    Shinobu (informed on symbolism)
    Heart Pirates (informed on symbolism)
    Straw Hats (informed on symbolism)
    Ashura Doji/Shutenmaru (informed on symbolism)
Kawamatsu (informed on symbolism BUT was imprisoned up until chapter 948)

So, these are our culprits who number 11, but the only person we can cross out is Kawamatsu leaving us with 10 culprits. Leaks have been taking places before he was out of prison, therefore, it's likely the leaks are as a result of whomever leaked it the first time. What did I just do here? I gave Kawamatsu an ALIBI, and this is what I will be using to narrow down the culprit.

TIMING OF LEAK: WHY NOW?
Kinemon and co. are informing Luffy and co. that from the moment they were transported to the future, to the moment that Luffy arrived at Wano, only a few months (2-3) have gone by ⁹²⁰.

They met Jibuemon who told them about the crescent tattoo a few months ago apparently. So, anything from 2-3 months ago was when Kinemon knew about the crescent tatoo .

Kiku has been in Wano for let's say 2 months doing research and investigating Kaido's forces.
Kinemon left Kiku for 2 months while they went to find recruits from Zou and outside Wano.

My point is the crescent tattoo is something that has not been leaked for 2 months at least.

Kinemon, Heart Pirates and some SHs arrived at Wano about 2-3 weeks ago.
So for 2 months + 2/3 weeks, the crescent tattoo was never known about.

So, even before Luffy arrived, these people were in Wano and knew about the crescent tattoo:

    Kinemon
    Kanjuro
    Raizo
    Kiku
    Shinobu
    Inuarashi

More importantly, these people were the alliance and the people in the know. Then:

Strawhats - Zoro, Franky, Robin, Usopp

Heart Pirates - Law, Bepo, Shachi, etc.

My question is why wasn't there a leak for over 2 months and 2/3 weeks until the Luffy arrived. What happened after Luffy arrived? The tattoo only became known about AFTER Luffy and crew arrived.

This helps us refine the culprit further. The timing is from Luffy's arrival to chapter 936, we'll find who the leak is.

ALIBIS FOR THE ALLIANCE BETWEEN LUFFY'S ARRIVAL AND CHAPTER 936
I will only bring up those that are easiest to monitor, and those who I feel are relevant.

Luffy, Raizo, Kawamatsu were all in prison - so they can't likely be the leaks as Raizo would have been trying to save Luffy whereas Kawamatsu wouldn't know about the crescent.
Kiku was with Chopper, Big Mom, Momonosuke and Tama trying to go to Udon when the leak occurred, so we can somewhat dismiss them reasonably imo.
Shinobu was with Nami, Robin and Brook at the Feast trying to investigate the Shogun's dwelling before the leak happened, they were together the entire time, so even Shinobu shouldn't be able to leak anything.
The only one of the Scabbards that was not partaking in the investigating was Kanjuro who Nami and co. met with. So, Kanjuro was alone for a while.
Kanjuro was also isolated from Nami, Shinobu and Robin in the bath when the leak occurred.
Kanjuro has been the only one with this information that has been pretty isolated which does make him a possible leak.
Inuarashi was apparently nowhere to be found when Kinemon wanted to tell him a leak had occurred, but then he appeared, but he's been working closely with the others in the Kuri region, so we can't say anything definitely.

Out of all the scabbards, Kanjuro and Inuarashi seem to be the only ones who have been somewhat solitary to entertain them as leaks. Even with that said, it's hard to see the motive for any of these scabbards to be a leak as they've been through a hell of a lot to be culprits.

It all boils down to this, even if we entertain Kanjuro and Inuarashi as possible leaks, they've been in Wano for so long that it makes one wonder why they'd decide to leak now and not earlier? Why not earlier? It makes no sense.

Alibis does somewhat help, but context of these characters make it difficult to still point a finger at anyone. They've proven to be as loyal as they come. They shed tears over Yasu, they were angered by Kaido's gratuitous violence and they love Oden.

What then do we refer to in order to point fingers?

WHAT CHANGED AFTER LUFFY ARRIVED? ASHURA DOJI/SHUTENMARU

Kinemon tried to recruit Shutenmaru as we see here ⁹²⁵; the leaks happened shortly after this. A day or 2 later in fact.
Shutenmaru and jfought Kaido together ⁹²². This must have happened when Kinemon was transported into the future. Kawamatsu isn't present either. This could have happened 5 years ago or 15 years ago, we don't know. It's just odd that Shutenmaru doesn't say anything about this to Kinemon when he was indirectly speaking about Denjiro ⁹⁵⁴. He knows something about Denjiro given that they fought Kaido together, yet he says nothing about it.
We can assume Kinemon told Shutenmaru about the crescents; we know he did try to recruit Shutenmaru, but failed.
It's also quite odd that Shutenmaru pretended like he had no intention to fight Kaido when he refused Kinemon, he has actually been working towards fighting Kaido again where Kinemon is just 20 years late: We see he's been gathering ships from all around Wano for 20 years: . He also says he's not been idle for these 20 years.

Shutenmaru despite having failed 10 years ago ⁹⁵⁰, he's still been trying to fight against Kaido. He has been gathering ships, stealing food supplies. In fact, we know Shutenmaru was the one who stole the plans for Onigashima that Franky was looking for, and it seems he stole these after the people who couldn't wait 20 years to fight died 10 years ago.
Shutenmaru has also been recruiting men for the past 2 decades in preparation for Kaido ⁹⁵⁰.
Whilst trying to recruit Shutenmaru... Kinemon had no idea how many crescent footed people were around. They supposedly didn't even have 500 people recruited according to Shinobu.

This leads me to conclude that:

Shutenmaru was the one who leaked the crescent tattoo in order to see how many people would be rounded up for battle given that he's been preparing too.
I'm also going to guess that Shutenmaru knows who Denjiro is since we know both of them fought Kaido. It seems both changed their name, Ashura Doji changed to Shutenmaru whereas Kyoshiro changed to Denjiro.
Shutenmaru was aware that Hiyori was found, he was there when it was stated, but it seems the specifics whereabouts was never stated; he also possibly leaked Tokage Port probably because he's working alongside Denjiro (Kyoshiro); Denjiro will probably release the prisoners and they'll possibly regroup at Habu port.

It seems Shutenmaru may have outsmarted everyone as he's been doing for the past 20 years. It just seems odd that he fought with Denjiro and then he never even brings him up again. Could very well be that he's the leak and could be secretly working with Denjiro (Kyoshiro).

Quite interesting that the leak also never ratted out the fact the 9 sheathes were alive, otherwise Orochi would be looking for them at their base which is why I believe the leak is someone who doesn't hate Oden. If they did, they just need tell them where their base was located, and it would have been a wrap.

This is my final conclusion on the entire thing, could well be wrong, but I'm personally sold as I think it makes the most sense.

Big Mom and Kaido allied to subdue Elbaf?

I just had a shower thought… oars’ giants race is officially named “ancient giant”. I assume kaido to have this ancient giant race’s blood and hence he might be some kind of last survivor of the species. Maybe kaido is half ancient giant half normal giant, which explains his appearance.

Now we know that big mom wanted elbaf’s powers by making an alliance with them, also she basically wants to subdue them. We don’t know kaido’s plans yet, but what if he also plans to take over elbaf as some kind of “righteous heir”?

In this theory I think both big mom and kaido will survive wano, wano will just tease both characters and both characters will end up in an alliance. It could be that they flee from wano and move forward to elbaf. This is the moment blackbeard invades whole cake island and moves forward. With that kaido and big mom will take over elbaf and subdue the giant species. I think elbaf will be the arc where we will see shanks and blackbeard might also jump in. The grand finale of the yonko saga.

Sanji And Zoro Are Equally Strong!

I know that right now it looks like Zoro is much stronger than Sanji, but bear with me. This theory stems from something that happened lot of time ago, precisely during the Little Garden Arc. In the beginning of the arc, Zoro and Sanji both went hunting and ended up arguing about who got the biggest prey while they were pretty much the same size. Fast forward at the end of the arc, it is revelead Dorry and Brogy started arguing for the same reason who killed the biggest Sea King and from then they fought countless duels without ever finding a winner. This is Oda’s concept of rivals. Just like Whitebeard and Roger or Roger and Garp fought countless times without nobody ever winning. Till the timeskip, this holds perfectly. They are always arguing about their bounties and they almost always battle similar strength opponents.

To explain my point let’s look at what Oda has given us.

Firstly, Sanji and Zoro instantly take a disliking with each other with a kinda love hate rivalry with one constantly trying to one up the other. This back in forth would be alot less comedic and meaningful if Zoro was on a higher tier than Sanji. It even translates to their enemies who all share similar relationships to their strawhats counterparts. Mr 1 and 2, Kaku and Jabra, etc…

Secondly, there’s the fact of their abilities. Zoro has greater physical strength, durability, and Armament Haki. But Sanji has superior speed, Observation Haki and is smarter. They each are Masters in their own respective styles of combat, hinting that if they fought a victory between the 2 would be highly circumstantial. If Zoro hits Sanji it would devastating, but if Sanji can avoid Zoro there’s really nothing he could do to end the fight. Lot of fans claim that Zoro is now stronger and the gap has increased since the New World but consider this have they been fighting opponents on the same level? The answer is NO!

Vergo could murder Monet and Doffy is obviously stronger than Pika. Most of Zoro opponents have either been severely weaker or ran from him where as Sanji had legit hard to fight opponents. Both had hints of their next power ups showcased at Wano: Sanji’s raid suit and Zoro’s black blades. So I feel like people are quick to jump on the whole Zoro is waaay stronger wagon when there is no info to support that as a fact.

Ronoroa Zoro Vs King The Wildfire

King the Wildfire is an All-Star of the Beasts Pirates and one of Kaido's three right-hand men, the Disasters. Many one piece fans doubt that vice captain zoro would fight and let alone defeat king the wildfire, because he might be even stronger than our mochi boy katakuri. I have to disagree. There are many reasons for my claim. First of all, one piece is about 80% completed according to oda. Since the difference between zoro and mihawk should still be huge, and with the story that much complete, zoro soon has to start challenging very powerful swordsmen on the way to become the world’s strongest swordsman.

Secondly, there’s no way that zoro wouldn’t want to fight king if he finds out that he is a swordsman and kaido’s strongest henchman. Not to mention that zoro almost always faces the right hand man of the opponent pirate crew. Hirdly, like everyone pointed out, king’s name is king the wildfire, and zoro stated in punk hazard that he would learn to cut fire. Those were the reasons I believe zoro would fight king. Now let me explain why I believe zoro could defeat him, even though king should be at luffy/katakuri tier. Like I said before, the story is 80% complete, zoro has to start defeating monstrous swordsmen. Zoro promised mihawk that he would never lose (to a swordsman) again.
He has no choice but to win, especially since promises in shonen are a huge thing. Now coming to the power level part, I do believe that zoro is weaker than luffy, but not by much. Zoro and luffy will have a minor difference in strength like rayleigh/roger. Their difference wouldn’t be huge like yonko/yonko commanders. If luffy is much stronger than a top yonko commander by the end of wano, then also zoro needs to be slightly stronger than a top yonko commander. Zoro also has been a monster in the new world . He has barely been trying and yet destroying characters like pica (who was vergo level). His power is unknown at this point, and it’s baseless to say that he can’t beat a yonko commander.

I’d try to explain why zoro could still be near luffy:

1. He could grow just like luffy did in whole cake island. There won’t be any shortages of enemy in wano. With the war between kaido, big mom, navy, and possibly other forces, zoro could fight very strong characters to grow to a whole new level. Luffy will still be stronger but zoro will reduce the gap since luffy is in prison while zoro would be defeating enemies.

2. Zoro trained hard with mihawk for 2 whole years, while luffy trained with rayleigh for 1.5 (rayleigh returned to sabaody archipelago half a year before luffy). This may have led to zoro having a more rewarding time-skip. Luffy may have grown much stronger in the new world but zoro could have gotten stronger at a faster rate than luffy during the time-skip, thus making the difference not so big.

Captain Kid’s Awakening in Wanokuni

I’ve a feeling Eustass Kidd and Monkey D, Luffy will awaken in Wano Kuri Arc. We know Kid is Magneto who knows to use his power it just to a certain point. His devil fruit power manifests in two different abilities, both depicting repulsion and attraction of metals within his vicinity to be used as weapons.

The first allows him to repel metallic objects away from himself, such as reflecting a Marine cannonball back towards its shooter. The second ability allows him to draw metallic objects towards him and form them into objects, his most frequent use of this being to form a giant arm made of hundreds of metallic weapons and objects and connecting it to his right hand. Think of him awakening this power in Wano, where anywhere we look are factories making weapons of steel, iron, you know what I’m talking about.

I can see Kid awakening as a mini magnetar. What is a magnetar? That’s the strongest magnet in the freaking universe. Having it in the upper atmosphere or beyond will start electric storm across the globe and gravity will be messed up. What I’m saying is, Kid’s Awakening will be really overpowered. Also known by Marvel fans, Eric or Magneto can extract the iron from blood and minerals in the ground as shown in X Men Apocalypse. I can just imagine the scene of him levitating and guns, beams, bars, spears everything levitating with dark clouds and thunder.

Who Is The Mysterious Prisoner In Wano’s Jail?

In the Udon region, people are put hard to work making weapons in Kaido’s factories. In the dungeons of these factories, one of the Beasts Pirates delivers a poisonous fish to a certain cell. Their orders are to give a poisonous and boneless fish to feed the prisoner inside, who seems to be still alive in spite of the poison.

The Beasts Pirate guards then rejoice as Luffy is brought in, and they taunt him. However, the mysterious prisoner spits out the fish skeleton at the guard and strikes him in the neck, causing him to be reprimanded for not taking the bones out of the fish as ordered. Who is he? Is he a new character? The lurking legend? Or a character that we already know? I think he might be the former Roger Pirate Scopper Gaban. I mean the first time we saw Rayleigh he was in a prison too and all the Supernovas were in attendance.

This time 8 Supernovas are present in Wano as well. I was thinking that the mysterious prisoner is so strong that he has been surviving on 1 poison fish per day for don’t know how long… so who’s this person that even Kaido wanna kill? I mean Kaido’s policy is if you are strong then i break your will and you work for me so maybe this person is mentally and physically so strong that he just can’t be broken like that so maybe he is Scopper Gaban. Kid, Luffy and Gaban might escape outta this prison together and then Gaban could train them about Armament/Conqueror’s Haki or Awakening so their chances of defeating Kaido would increase.

Monkey D. Luffy Reunites With Kid in Kaido’s Prison!

Trafalgar D. Water Law attempts to rescue the defeated Luffy, but is attacked by Hawkins and shot with a nail made out of Seastone, and he is unable to prevent Luffy’s capture. It seems like something went on between Law and Hawkins, not just fight, probably a deal? How did Law escape? Kaido notes that Luffy is still glaring at him, and tells his subordinates to throw him into a cell, saying that he will make a good subordinate once his will is broken.

However, as his subordinates move toward Luffy, they are suddenly knocked out by his Haoshoku Haki, and Shutenmaru recognizes it as an ability that Oden used. Kaido notes that Eustass Kid also used this Haki. Luffy is brought into a cell, and the guards say that starting tomorrow they will work him until his will breaks and he pledges allegiance to Kaido. In the cell next to Luffy’s is Kid, and both of them swear revenge against Kaido, which causes them to notice each other as the curtains are drawn on the first act of the Wano Country Arc.

I really like that Oda ended the Act 1 by bringing Kid back to the story, it’s been a while and his spirit is still strong. That moment with Luffy and Kid saying the same thing is really cool. The news about Luffy and Kaido’s fight circulates through Wano, and Franky, Robin, Usopp, and Zoro are completely aghast when they hear it. Meanwhile, Inuarashi and the Musketeers discover the injured Tama, and head into the forest to treat her immediately. At the ruins of Oden Castle, the Straw Hats and their allies have all survived, and Kiku prepares to tell them the current situation of Wano. This chapter confirms the uninevitable Luffy, Kid, and Law is likely going to happen again and I am sure these individuals will also play a pivotal role in taking down Kaido. Kid having Conqueror’s Haki probably means Law either has it and hasn’t shown it or will have it soon. So Act 1 of Wano arc is over. We’re heading back to Reverie or Act 2 is going to start in the next two weeks?!

Possible Kaido's fate by the end of Wano Arc

Kaido will end up dying at the end of wano. Oda implied that what was to come in wano would make the battle of marineford look cute. Marineford had two major deaths in battle so wano has to have at least that. Kaido, the main antagonist of the arc, that actually wants to die seems like the most logical death. As for how he gets beaten, I believe it will basically be similar to oars' defeat. Many people will take on kaido initially. Supernovas, samurai, and all the yonkou level characters in the alliance at some point. After all of them have done their best, kaido will still be standing but will have taken a beating. Then ultimately luffy will be the one to come through when everyone else is down and take kaido on in a 1v1, challenging kaido's legend.

Luffy will awaken his devil fruit. Possibly a new gear too, or at least a stronger and perfected form of gear fourth. He will also be pumped up on all sorts. Hawkins' tarot power boost. Moriah's shadows. Sanji's attack cuisine. Maybe even law's immortality surgery and whatever else characters have to buff someone. Everyone will give their powers to luffy and trust him to be their hero. Luffy will take all of this in and with that power it will be enough to defeat kaido. So even after luffy beats kaido he won't be the strongest creature because of all the power boosts he had on him still allowing for some progression as he gets his actual body to that level and not simply have it be through boosts.

Not sure about how kaido dies. I hope there is some difference from whitebeard's death in how things play out, but for now I've got things down as:

-yonkou level allies all take on kaido and deal decent damage
-luffy gets buffed through allies' various powers and defeats kaido in a 1v1
-kaido gets killed by blackbeard.

Ronoroa Zoro Will Lead The Samurai's Of Wano

Shutenmaru, a master thief, skilled enough to steal from Orochi’s farm without being stopped by any of the samurais or Beasts Pirates working under the shogun, and to hide from them for weeks without being discovered. A testament to Shutenmaru’s combat abilities is that Kaido, one of the Yonko, wants him to become his subordinate. The Beasts Pirates respect for Shutenmaru also manifested when Holdem believed that Monkey D. Luffy’s strength made it likely that he was Shutenmaru’s subordinate. Despite his large size, Shutenmaru is extremely fast, being capable of charging towards Jack in a instant. He also possesses a fair amount of endurance, as he was seemingly unaffected when Jack cut him in the shoulder. Shutenmaru is a powerful master swordsman.

With one slash, he was able to give Jack a large cut across his chest and break one of his shotel blades. He then proceeded to fight evenly with Kaido’s right-hand man in what spectators considered to be a high-level duel. Well, I believe that Shutenmaru is Ashura Douji. Ashura Doji is a resident of Wano Country. He was once the most dangerous man in the formerly lawless region of Kuri before being defeated by Kozuki Oden. Shutenmaru only respects strong Samurais. In chapter 921 he said “ in this country there are no real men, who strong samurai (like himself) would join. The days of Wano are numbered.”
I believe Shutenmaru is waiting for someone like Oden. Shutenmaru was a honorable Samurai after Oden defeated him, now that Oden is deceased Shutenmaru went bad again, he’s a troublesome bad man, when he will see Zoro he will be a good Samurai. Furthermore Zoro said in Zou, that he will gather all Samurai together for Luffy. Maybe Zoro will fight and defeat the leader of the Atamaya Thieves and Shutenmaru will join the strong leader of the Samurai Zoro. Zoro will be the leader of the Samurais that Ashura Douji aka Shutenmaru is waiting for and Zoro will make his promise true to gather all Samurais in Wano together. What do you guys thing? Could this be true?

Ronoroa Zoro's Major Fights In Wano

As we know each new arc we get has a theme or is centred around one of the members of the Straw Hat crew in some way or another. In Whole Cake Island we had the Sanji arc and now in the Wano arc it will most likely be centred around Zoro, and I’m assuming Oda will give Zoro a good few strong opponents to do battle with. So how this would come about is, for a past few chapters now we have been made aware that Jack the Drought survived and is currently in Wano at the moment. Now with Luffy knocking out Holdem, Jack is apparently going to go on a rampage and look for Luffy. Meanwhile we see Zoro going on one of his walk abouts again and as usual he is going to get lost and into trouble as he always does (eg. Meanwhile we see Zoro going on one of his walk abouts again and as usual he is going to get lost and into trouble as he always does (eg. Like when he almost sliced up a Celestial Dragon on Sabaody Archipelago or two years later accidentally getting on the wrong ship bound for Fishman Island), now this time around it is going to lead him directly to Jack either by walking into him directly or by having one of Jack’s subordinates see him and reporting it to Jack.

Now with Jack’s status as a Calamity and being one of the 3 Top fighters in the Beast Pirates, his Bounty of 1 Billion is nothing to laugh at and it will definitely be a tough fight for Zoro to handle at first, then we will have a little bit of a flashback of Zoro’s training with Mihawk, and Zoro unleashing his new techniques he has been honing for the past two years. After the fight with Zoro being the winner and eventually being found by one of the Straw Hat crew or even someone from the Alliance, Zoro will have a bit of a rest to regain his strength so he might not be seen for a few chapters, while the rest of the crew and Alliance face off against the Beast Pirates and the Shogun’s forces. Now once Zoro has regained stamina, Zoro will move onto his next big fight which will be against the Shogun Kurozumi Orochi. Orochi uses a sword-style known as “Orochi Two-Place Style” so that could mean he is very proficient in Nitoryu (Two swords) techniques, but where I’m taking my theory comes from a few other panels in the chapter itself and that is where Kishiro Inemuri is talking about how Oden’s wife spoke about “The moonlight will cast 9 shadows across the moonlit nights”.

Now this to me had two meanings: 1. There are 9 Straw Hat members currently in Wano (not including Jimbei as he hasn’t been seen yet). 2. Zoro can use Asura to create 6 more swords added to his 3 using 9 swords. These are the two big fights I’m predicting at the moment, he might face off against one of the Headliners as well but they’ll pale in comparison to these two, as Oda stated this war will be the biggest yet, and I’m sure a lot of the Straw Hats will get a few fights in with major players in the Beast Pirates and the Shogun’s Forces.d for Fishman Island), now this time around it is going to lead him directly to Jack either by walking into him directly or by having one of Jack’s subordinates see him and reporting it to Jack. Kozuki Oden's Wife Being Alive

Based on the statement of kyoshiro "Oden's wife stood in front of castle" and cursed orochi, and the drawing as well looks as if oden's wife's face is towards the flames of burning castle, which possibly suggests that she herself was not inside castle and also as we can see it is shown many times that there are total of eleven graves of which three of them belongs to kozuki family which those graves includes the nine sheaths/swords of oden as well but what makes it more suspicious about oden's wife is that the third kozuki grave's name is hidden intentionally, which means if that third kozuki name was written a male or someone else other than oden's wife then we could instantly know that oden's wife is not dead.

Which if the time had came to introduce oden's wife then the introduction would lose all the shock factor since we had already known she was alive or possibly there might be another hidden intention of oda's.

And yes momonosuke did mention that even her mother suffered/killed by kaido's hands but it is possible that it is just that momonosuke thinks so but in reality she is still kept alive most likely because of the possible devil fruit powers that she had, which could be the cause of time travel, the curse that kyoshiro mentioned caused by devil fruit and judging kinemon's statement in the past samurais of wano didn't/don't know about devil fruit probably that is the reason kyoshiro and others thinks of it as a curse instead of devil fruit ability however kaido most likely knows what powers it is that's why she is being kept alive and probably wanted to capture momonosuke in order to blackmail her and also it is possible that this devil fruit and oden's wife could actually be the answer for all the crimes during the void century and it is her ability that might enable luffy and others to change the history of one piece world by traveling to past/joyboy's era.

X Drake’s Subordinates

As of the chapter titled, ‘Amigasa Village’ it had finally been revealed that X Drake had become a Headliner under Kaido after some hints that he was likely working under the Yonko with the second revealation that he defeated some samurai in that village. Though, this post would like to return to Chapter 793 when it was not only touched upon again that Doflamingo killed Drake’s dad, but Drake was most likely in Wano as well.

It is safe to assume at this point that Drake is a Headliner in Chapter 793 and he is also seen with three men, but what I am now wondering are these few things:

Were those three men Drake’s subordinates?

If they were Drake’s subordinates, where are his crewmates? Hawkins had at least 1 of his crew with him in addition to his subordinates, so I feel like it seems strange now. And while Hawkins’ subordinates seemed loyal, Drake seemed like the one who was being ordered around to a degree which also seems rude as to contrast Hawkins was obviously in charge of the men under him and they followed HIS orders. (I wish I could look at the Viz Translation of that Chapter tbh to see the official translation of that conversation.)

Is it possible we will see Drake with those same men again or maybe a crewmate from Drake’s personal crew will make an appearance? It’s interesting to think about at the very least.

Drake, like other Supernovas such as Bonney, is aware that Luffy and Law defeated Doffy since he takes interest in the pictures of them below Doffy’s picture by folding the paper in half. Now being known as a Headliner, could it be possible that Drake understood that Kaido would be targeting the pair due to their actions which messed up the SMILEs deal with Doflamingo at that point in time?

As we have yet to see Drake’s own reasons and his full story, I just felt like putting up this post since it’s likely that we’ll see Drake eventually, but also to speculate just a bit more with these questions. I know they can’t all be answered right away, but this has been on my mind for a while now—the scene with Drake in Chapter 793 at least.

Who is Tenguyama Hitetsu waiting for?

In the previous chapter Hitetsu (The guy with the mask) said he was waiting for someone. I'm wondering if anyone has any theories as to who that might be. I'm thinking it could be allies or something. I think he is waiting for someone worthy enough to wield the "Nidai Kitetsu". If Nidai has been passed down for generations since Kotetsu, up until even Tengu's generation, it means that there's been no one worthy of wielding it till date, as what use is the Nidai in the hands of a blacksmith?

I'm sure Kotetsu didn't create a blade as fine as Nidai so it can be used as interior decoration. If he's waiting for someone capable of wielding the Nidai, then it is most definitely Zoro, seeing as he seems to be qualified to carry the heavy curse of that series of blades, with him already having Sandai in his possession. Less obvious answer is that he's waiting for a successor, someone qualified enough to inherit his skills.

The thing is, hitetsu is waiting for someone specifically in amakusa village. He could have gone to a better place but he is choosing to stay in amakusa village because whoever he is waiting for might not be able to find him if he moves. So, it's a lot like Otama waiting for Ace. It's someone who hitetsu has met before at amakusa village and if the person returns, he would try to find hitetsu at amakusa village so that's why hitetsu is staying there despite the village getting wasted.

If he is waiting for someone to break the curse or some chosen one plot line, then there is nothing stopping him from moving. The chosen one will find him wherever he goes.

The Shogun of Wano Orochi Vs Zoro

In the previous chapter the name of the Shogun of Wano Country is revealed to be Kurozumi Orochi. According to Japanese mythology Yamata no Orochi (“8-branched giant snake”) or Orochi is a legendary 8-headed and 8-tailed Japanese dragon. Susanoo, the Shinto god of the sea and storms, killed the Yamata no Orochi. We know Zoro uses a tornado attack which connects to storm so he will defeat/kill the Shogun.

Furthermore Oda and the author of Naruto are friends and Oda had done shoutouts to Naruto before with Raizo. Zoro will likely defeat the Shogun Orochi with the Asura technique or an upgraded version of the Asura as a result of the training and I felt that Asura technique was a bit of a reference to the Susanoo from Naruto. Also the Shogun Orochi could very well use 8 swords as a reference to how Killer Bee from Naruto used 8 swords plus there is the fact that in the Yamata no Orochi Myth after expulsion from Heaven, Susanoo encounters two “Earthly Deities” near the head of the Hi River, now called the Hii River, in Izumo Province.

They are weeping because they were forced to give the Orochi one of their daughters every year for seven years, and now they must sacrifice their eighth, Kushi-inada-hime so this will be referenced with the Shogun taking the other samurais swords so along with his main sword which will be a reference to The legendary sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, which came from the tail of Yamata no Orochi.

The Shogun will have 7 other swords he got from defeating other samurai meaning that he uses a total of 8 swords since the Yamata no Orochi had only gotten 7 of the daughters in the myth so replace the daughters with swords and the 8th daughter Kushi-inada-hime will be represented by Shisui the national treasure of Wano which Orochi would want. So, after defeating him, Zoro could get a new sword in Orochi’s main sword which will reference The Legendary Sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, which came from the tail of Yamata no Orochi and how Susanoo had obtained it from the Yamata no Orochi’s body (though Susanoo in the myths had given it to Amaterasu to settle an old grievance) they could change it so Zoro keeps the blade along with Shusui and Sandai Kitetsu breaks or he can give Kusanagi away or he can return Shusui.

The World Government will invade Wano at the End of the War

People wondered if Luffy deserves to earn the title of Pirate Emperor and a 1.5 Billion Berries Bounty but there might be an alternate reason why the news reported Luffy in such a light. Luffy is a serious threat to the world: he has defeated 3 Warlords, destroyed Enies Lobby, declared war on the World Government and broke in and out of Impel Down with a large group of criminals and brought them to Marineford. He also infiltrated Big Mom’s territory, Totto Land, where he defeated Charlotte Cracker and Charlotte Katakuri, two of her Sweet Commanders and escaped.

Not just that, he now has a Grand Fleet of pirates, he is the grandson of Monkey D. Garp and the son of Monkey D. Dragon as well as being Sabo’s brother, he has allied himself with Trafalgar Law and is gaining many countries as allies and has friends like Silvers Rayleigh and the Yonko Shanks. In his crew not only does he have very powerful crew members but some of them have strong connections. Sanji is a Prince of the Germa Kingdom, Franky is a student of Tom the man who built the Oro Jackson and all though he destroyed the blueprints he might still hold the knowledge to built Pluton; Ussop is the son of Yassop, Nico Robin is able to read the ancient writings and can actually find the One Piece and finally they now have Jinbe a former warlord.

As son of Dragon and brother of Sabo Luffy has the Revolutionary Army as a likely ally; with Jinbe the Sun Pirates are now also allies to the Straw Hats, the World Government might not be fully aware of Sanji’s relationship to his family so they could count them in. The point is that Luffy holds a lot of power and fighting him might not be a good idea. Instead the plan should have Luffy killed in a war against the rest of the Yonkos. By having Luffy announced as the next Emperor it angers Big Mom and Kaido. The World Government might also be interested in Wano but do not wish to invade the country and start a war. Instead their plan is to have the Yonkos kill each other or injure each other enough and have them damage Wano in the cross fire and once it’s over they will invade Wano and take over as well as take out 3 big named pirates in the world.
